How do I wash my period underwear & other ooia products?
Wash your ooia products once before first use.
For period underwear: It is best to rinse out the absorbed period blood by hand with cold water after wearing and before washing. Avoid rubbing the merino wool vigorously and simply squeeze out the water gently. Vigorous rubbing can damage the fibers of your merino wool.
Please do not use a tumble dryer, bleach, or fabric softener, as this can damage the products and even limit the effectiveness of your period underwear. Dry cleaning can also harm your ooias.

Wash cycle and temperature
Set the wash temperature to 40 degrees Celsius on a delicate cycle. This way, your ooias can be effectively cleaned without damaging the delicate materials.
We recommend washing your ooias with similar colors. You can wash our Feel Dry Top directly with similarly colored laundry.
the right detergent
To protect the high-quality materials and at the same time ensure optimal hygiene, we recommend a gentle detergent, e.g. a wool or color detergent without bleaching ingredients, citrate or citric acid. Our ooia Care ooia Care Washing Concentrate, which we developed ourselves with KAËLL, is ideal. It is deep-cleaning, particularly skin-friendly and specially designed to protect the materials of your ooias and keep them in the best possible condition.
Only in laundry bag
To best protect the high-quality materials of your ooias, we also recommend putting them in a laundry net, such as the ooia ooia Washbag, before washing.
This protects your period underwear and other ooia products from friction and prevents them from getting tangled or damaged during the wash cycle.
Drying ooia® properly
Please do not use a dryer, but simply let your ooias air dry on the clothesline or a drying rack.
Ironing is forbidden! As soon as your ooias are dry, you can put them back on immediately. Cleaning is therefore very easy!
How long does period underwear last with optimal care?
If you treat ooia products well, they will last you a long time. With proper care according to the care instructions, period underwear can be used reliably over a long period. If you change and wash it regularly, hygienic use is guaranteed – replacement after a fixed period is not necessary.
You can use the ooia nursing bra, everyday underwear, shape shorts, and Feel Dry Top indefinitely; their functionality will not be lost.
