How ooia supports female empowerment
Female empowerment is ooia's central mission. Our product contributes to this mission by enabling many* to have a more comfortable period. But we want to achieve more, and that's why we support various initiatives that advocate for equality and female empowerment.
Organizations We Care About

Pink Ribbon Germany
The pink ribbon is the global symbol in the fight against breast cancer. In Germany, Pink Ribbon Deutschland has been working since 2010 to raise awareness, promote early detection, and support those affected and their families.
We at ooia also want to make a statement during Breast Cancer Awareness Month: From October 1-24, 2025, we will donate 100% of the profits from all pink panties to Pink Ribbon Deutschland.
With every purchase, you support important projects for awareness, early detection, and help during a time that particularly challenges those affected and their families.
Pink is more than just a color – it's a promise to be strong together.

Amadeu Antonio Foundation
Since 1998, the Amadeu Antonio Foundation has been strengthening democratic civil society and combating right-wing extremism, racism, and antisemitism. It supports victims of right-wing violence, promotes civil society projects, researches extremist structures, and informs the public. Through publications, political demands, and educational work, it advocates for a diverse, open society. ooia wants to protect our democracy and make a stand against discrimination, and in December 2024, on behalf of all employees, donated to the Amadeu Antonio Foundation.

Sail to the Cop
In 2019, a group of 36 people sailed from Europe to Chile to attend the UN Climate Conference COP25. With this action, the organization drew attention to the topic of sustainable travel. The group used the 7-week sailing trip as a think tank and worked on solutions for sustainable travel in the future. ooia provided all 26 crew members with ooia period underwear and also financially supported the entire crew. If you want to learn more, check out our interview with Hannah from Sail to the Cop on Instagram.

Center for Feminist Foreign Policy
Orchid Project was an international organization dedicated to ending female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C). Through research, knowledge building and sharing, and awareness campaigns directly in affected communities, Orchid Project supported numerous local organizations, primarily in Africa and Asia. In addition, the organization influenced local and global political processes through targeted lobbying.
One of its partner organizations was Tostan in West Africa. Their education and empowerment-based approach is effective: 97% of participating communities remain committed and do not return to FGM/C even after completing the program.
On June 1, 2025, we donated €5 to Orchid Project for every order received. The organization had to cease operations in 2025.
Donations to women's shelters in Berlin
Women's shelters offer women and their children affected by violence safe accommodation, advice and support - at any time of day or night. Every year at Christmas time, ooia donates to women's shelters in Berlin.
#loveyourboobsartnight

Breast cancer is by far the most common disease among women*. To raise public awareness of breast cancer, ooia supported the LOVE YOUR BOOBS Artnight with a product donation.
