With ooia, we are pursuing a social mission. We are convinced feminists and for us feminism means equality. We want a world in which all people have equal rights and responsibilities - regardless of their gender. For us, female empowerment means encouraging women individually to be strong and to tackle desired changes. ooia period underwear is an example of such a change: as an innovative alternative to conventional period products, it enables many to deal with their periods in a more satisfying way. In general, we want to encourage reflection and questioning, for example through our popular Instagram channel @its.me.ooia or through our talks at events.

The two founders, Kati and Kristine, provide deep insights into their private lives as founders, mothers and feminists. Our corporate culture is also characterised by trust. Because trust is the basic prerequisite for our time- and location-independent working model.

Every person should feel approached by ooia - regardless of origin, skin color, body type or sexual orientation. We are convinced that diversity also leads to better results within teams. That's why we always strive to make our team as diverse as possible. We welcome anyone who would like to join us and ooia. Because diversity is an important issue, we regularly support the Center for Intersectional Justice, which works to combat structural inequality and discrimination in Europe.

An important quality feature for us is, for example, the cooperation with sewing factories that work according to certified ecological and social standards. In addition, all labeled ooias are certified and tested for harmful substances according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® [21.0.46579 HOHENSTEIN HTTI]. This means that these ooias are certified skin-friendly and harmless to health.

Every year, approximately 45 billion pads and tampons are used and thrown away. With our reusable period underwear, we make a significant contribution to reducing this waste. But it's not just our product itself that protects the environment. Our sewing factories produce fairly according to ethical and ecological criteria. We minimise our carbon footprint by sourcing all our materials from european producers and using no plastic in our packaging.
