Immediately after wearing, we recommend that you wash your ooia period underwear by hand in cold water. You can then simply machine wash your ooia menstrual underwear at 40°C and put it back on afterwards - this way you avoid a lot of waste from disposable products! If your period underwear becomes too full, it will feel significantly wetter. Moisture can then be felt especially at the edges. It is best to observe how often you would use two tampons or pads - and change them at this interval for the time being. Either way, you should change your ooia menstrual underwear after a maximum of 10-12 hours for hygiene reasons.
It is very important to us that ooia period underwear is as breathable and thin as possible so that you feel comfortable wearing it. That is why we have selected very thin and light fabrics. ooia is no thicker than 1-2 mm at its thickest point. In addition, ooias are made of very high-quality, specialised fabrics that wick the liquid away from you in a flash so that you can feel clean and dry. The merino wool in particular, which touches your skin as the innermost layer of the period underwear, has the unique ability to wick liquid away and then feel completely dry. Your sensitive and intimate areas only come into contact with natural fibres.
