Wash your ooia once before the first use.
After wearing your ooia, it is best to wash it by hand in cold water.
Then you can put it into a laundry net and into the washing machine and wash it at 40 degrees ideally in the easy-care wash cycle - you can also do this along with other dark laundry.
Please don't wash your ooia with full strength detergent, as this is too aggressive for the wool. Instead, ideally use wool detergent.
Please do not use bleach or fabric softener, as this will reduce the effectiveness of ooia.
Please also do not dry clean - but who takes their underpants to the dry cleaners?
Ironing is also a no-go, just hang ooia on the clothesline and it will soon be ready for use again.
If you treat your ooia well, it will retain its full bacteria-inhibiting effectiveness for about 2 years. After that, of course, you can still continue to use them as "normal" underpants.

Because your health is our top priority, we've sought the opinion of gynecologists on the requirements for bacterial growth inhibition.
These gynecologists confirmed us that it's fundamentally important that period underwear inhibits bacteria from growing - and that high-quality, tested fabrics are used to do so.
Our membrane system has bacteria-inhibiting properties at key points -so that bacteria can neither multiply nor develop unpleasant odors. The bacteria-inhibiting effect of the silver chloride takes place directly in the fiber.
The Hohenstein Institute carried out elaborate testing on our ooias to ensure its antibacterial activity.
The Hohenstein Institute is a very renowned German textile testing and research institute that awards various certifications.
ooia is the only period underwear in the world whose function is certified - we are proud of that!
