How do I know I need to change panties?
The magic membrane system sucks liquid directly away from you and absorbs it safely.
It's hard to tell from the outside how "full" an ooia panty is. It will feel noticeably wetter if it gets too full - moisture can be felt, especially around the edges. Either way, you should change your ooia period underwear after a maximum of 10-12 hours for hygiene reasons.
You can wear the ooia nursing bra for several days and nights, depending on the amount of milk, and then wash it easily with your laundry.
Can I continue to use the panties after the postpartum period?
Yes, there are many possible uses: Already during pregnancy, the panties can be a support for you and give you security in case of increased discharge - or when the baby in your belly gets bigger, presses on the bladder and a few drops here and there become independent. The ooia period underwear is also suitable for:
- Your period
- After miscarriages or operations
- Sleeping at night
Is the ooia underwear hygienic? How am I protected from bacteria?
Your health is our top priority! ooia is the only period underwear brand to be certified. It has received the "antibacterial" certificate from the renowned Hohenstein Institute - after extensive testing. We have had the bacteria-inhibiting requirements for ooia tested and confirmed by gynaecologists and have adapted the entire development of ooia period underwear to this.
Our membrane system has bacteria-inhibiting properties at the crucial points - so that bacteria can neither multiply nor develop unpleasant odours. Our active ingredient silver chloride is tested under the strictest conditions and may be used in Germany in accordance with Article 89 of the Biocide Ordinance in conjunction with Section 28 (8) of the Chemicals Act. Silver has been used for centuries to protect against diseases. It was already used in ancient Greece and Rome to disinfect water. Of course, we do not use any nanoparticles that are controversial to health.
In addition, you can machine-wash ooia at 40 degrees.
